| Job Duties: We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who has interest in developing high-quality reagents for glycobiology. This Research Associate will purify proteins, enzymes and glycans using a variety of chromatography techniques including HPLC, affinity, ion exchange and gel filtration. He/she will develop enzymatic assays using LC/MS system, UV and fluorescence spectrometry and radioisotope labeling. Other duties include record keeping, data analysis, literature search, and providing lab support. |
Job Requirements: Successful applicants will have a Bachelors/Masters degree in biochemistry or analytical biochemistry or related discipline with a minimum of 0 to 5 years' experience with a Bachelors or 0 to 2 years with a Masters and demonstrated working knowledge of scientific principles. Must be highly motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively. Must have strong trouble-shooting abilities and excellent organization and communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience of enzyme purification and characterization.
