Analytical Testing Service

R&D Systems' Analytical Testing Service (RDS-ATS) is a cytokine testing service. Unlike standard reference laboratories, we specialize in a single area: cytokines. We are cytokine experts. Our reputation for quality in the development and manufacture of recombinant cytokines, antibodies and the Quantikine® ELISA is respected worldwide. Our mission is to provide accurate and reproducible results in a timely, confidential manner. Quality assurance programs are in place and are designed to evaluate all activities in the laboratory, including test performance, standard procedures, equipment and personnel.

Facilities

R&D Systems ATS facility features newly constructed labs containing state of the art equipment with room for expansion.

Equipment

All equipment is maintained following predetermined maintenance schedules.

• Molecular Devices SPECTRAmax® 190 absorbance plate reader.
• Molecular Devices SOFTmax® Pro software.
• Molecular Devices Lmax™ Luminometer.
• TECAN® Columbus™ plate washers.
• Harris® Ultracold -80° C freezer with extensive sample storage capability.
• Additional on site storage at -20° C and -60° C can be obtained as required.
• All specimen storage areas are connected to a 24 hour security system.

Sample Storage/Receipt and Control Monitoring

• Unique ATS accession numbers are assigned to each project and sample.
• Sample receipt, unpacking and log-in of samples is conducted in accordance with ATS SOPs.
• Detailed records of sample handling maintained according to ATS SOPs.

Validated Assays

R&D Systems is the world's leading supplier of validated cytokine immunoassays. QuantiGlo® chemiluminescent assays, with wide dynamic linear ranges, are used whenever possible to reduce the potential need for dilutions.

Data Generation and Results Reporting

ATS conducts all work confidentially, accurately, and responsively to our clients' needs and expectations. Results are communicated in a timely basis and in an easily understood format. Custom reports developed to meet our client's needs are available in MicroSoft® Excel and MicroSoft® Word.
