R&D Systems PlusCellect cell isolation kits include two separate antibodies; one for immunopurification and the other for immunophenotypical analysis. Cell isolation is performed by positive selection. Cells of interest are tagged with a biotinylated antibody and subsequently bound to streptavidin-conjugated magnetic particles (MagCellect™ Streptavidin Ferrofluid, Catalog # MAG999 or equivalent). Tagged cells can then be isolated using a compatible magnet system. Once the cells are resuspended in PlusCellect Buffer, the efficiency of enrichment can be assessed with the provided PE-conjugated detection antibody.
