Immunohistochemistry : Axl

Axl in Human Stomach.
Axl in Human Stomach.

Axl was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human stomach using Human Axl Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF154) at 10 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C. Before incubation with the primary antibody tissue was subjected to heat-induced epitope retrieval using Antigen Retrieval Reagent-Basic (Catalog # CTS013). Tissue was stained using the Anti-Goat HRP-DAB Cell & Tissue Staining Kit (brown; Catalog # CTS008) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Specific labeling was localized to endothelial cells in the vasculature of the longitudinal muscle layer. View our protocol for Chromogenic IHC Staining of Paraffin-embedded Tissue Sections.

This antibody specifically recognizes human Axl extracellular domain. Reactivity with Axl from other species has not been determined.

Phospho-Axl (Y779) in Human Stomach Cancer Tissue.
Phospho-Axl (Y779) in Human Stomach Cancer Tissue.

Axl phosphorylated at Y779 was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human stomach cancer tissue using Human/Mouse Phospho-Axl Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF2228) at 15 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C. Tissue was stained using the Anti-Rabbit HRP-DAB Cell & Tissue Staining Kit (brown; Catalog # CTS005) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Specific labeling was localized to the cytoplasm of epithelial cells. View our protocol for Chromogenic IHC Staining of Paraffin-embedded Tissue Sections.

Secondary Antibodies
R&D Systems offers a wide range of biotinylated, HRP-conjugated, fluorochrome-labeled, and unlabeled species-specific secondary antibodies. Our NorthernLights™ fluorescent secondary antibodies are available with three distinct excitation and emission maxima, making them ideal for multi-color fluorescence microscopy.
