Immunohistochemistry : MMP-9

MMP-9 in MMP-9 transfected NS0 cells.
MMP-9 in MMP-9 transfected NS0 cells.
Indirect immunofluorescent staining of Matrix Metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) transfected NS0 cells. Cells were stained using 5 µg/mL of R&D Systems mouse anti-human MMP-9 antibody (Catalog # AF911) and counterstained (green). See IHC Fluorescence Protocol 1.0.

This antibody has been tested for its ability to recognize recombinant human and mouse MMP-9. This antibody can be used for immunohistochemistry and Western blot. In Western blots, this antibody shows less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human MMP-1, -2, -3, -7, -8, -10, -12 and -13.

MMP-9 in Rat Brain.
MMP-9 in Rat Brain.
Matrix Metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) was detected in cryostat tissue sections of rat brain (cingulate cortex) using 1.7 µg/mL of R&D Systems goat anti-mouse MMP-9 antibody (Catalog # AF909), R&D Systems anti-goat HRP-DAB Cell and Tissue Staining Kit (brown) (Catalog # CTS008), and Hematoxylin (blue) counterstain. See IHC Enzymatic Protocol 1.0.

This antibody has been selected for its ability to recognize mouse MMP-9. In direct ELISAs and Western blots, this antibody shows approximately 10% cross-reactivity with rhMMP-9 and less than 2% cross-reactivity with recombinant human MMP-1, -2, -3, -7, -8, -10, -12 and -13.

Secondary Antibodies
R&D Systems offers a wide range of biotinylated, HRP-conjugated, fluorochrome-labeled, and unlabeled species-specific secondary antibodies. Our NorthernLights™ fluorescent secondary antibodies are available with three distinct excitation and emission maxima, making them ideal for multicolor fluorescence microscopy.
