Immunohistochemistry : Renin

Renin in Human Kidney.
Renin in Human Kidney.
Renin was detected in paraffin-embedded human kidney glomerulus sections using 15 µg/ml mouse anti-human Renin monoclonal antibody (Catalog # MAB4447). Tissue was subjected to antigen retrieval using R&D Systems Basic Antigen Retrieval Kit (Catalog # CTS013), stained using R&D Systems anti-mouse HRP-DAB Cell and Tissue Staining Kit (Catalog # CTS002; brown), and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). See IHC Enzymatic Protocol 1.0.

This antibody recognizes the pro form (aa 24 - 406), not the mature form (aa 67 - 406) of human Renin. In direct ELISAs and Western blots, this antibody shows no cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse Renin.

Renin in Mouse Kidney.
Renin in Mouse Kidney.
Renin was detected in frozen mouse kidney sections using 25 µg/mL rat anti-mouse Renin monoclonal antibody (Catalog # MAB42771) and tissue was counterstained (green).

This antibody recognizes the proform (aa 22 - 402) of mouse Renin-1. In direct ELISAs, this antibody shows no cross-reactivity with recombinant human Renin.

Secondary Antibodies
R&D Systems offers a wide range of biotinylated, HRP-conjugated, fluorochrome-labeled, and unlabeled species-specific secondary antibodies. Our NorthernLights™ fluorescent secondary antibodies are available with three distinct excitation and emission maxima, making them ideal for multicolor fluorescence microscopy.
