Job Duties: This position is primarily responsible for assisting with and performing the development and optimization of protein purification procedures for natural and recombinant proteins, aiding in initial small-scale production for the release of newly developed proteins, and writing protocols for purification methods. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements: Successful candidates will have a Bachelors/Masters degree in Biochemistry or equivalent with a minimum of 0 to 5 years of experience in protein purification, protein characterization with a Bachelors, or 0 to 2 years experience with a Masters. Must possess a working knowledge of scientific principles. Also, must have knowledge of chromatography (ion exchange, affinity, HPLC, FPLC), SDS-PAGE and Western blot.
