| Job Duties: We are seeking an outstanding individual who has expertise in bioanalytical methods to characterize proteins and antibodies for uses as research reagents and diagnostic/therapeutic tools. The methods include HPLC, gel electrophoresis, UV/fluorescence/mass spectrometry, N-terminal sequencing, Western blots, immunoprecipitation, ELISA, enzymatic assays, and tests for contamination and post-translational modifications. In addition to use these methods, the Scientist will also document and communicate the test results within the Department and across different groups. |
Job Requirements: Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry or Analytical Biochemistry or related discipline with a minimum of 2 to 5 years' experience in using at least several of the methods described above. Must have excellent knowledge of protein structure and function and of the different tools used in studies of their relationship. Must be highly motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively. Must have strong trouble-shooting abilities and excellent organization and oral/written communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in the Quality Control process.
