Mosaic™ ELISA Assay Principle

Mosaic ELISAs consist of a 96-well microplate pre-spotted with multiple capture antibodies in each well. Standards and samples are added, and target proteins present in the samples are bound by the immobilized antibodies. All wells also contain Reference Spots, which provide a strong positive signal to allow easy visualization of well location.

A cocktail of biotinylated detection antibodies and Streptavidin-HRP is subsequently used to detect the bound proteins.

Chemiluminescent substrate reagents produce a signal that is proportional to the amount of analyte bound. A compatible digital imaging system capable of chemiluminescent detection is used to determine the intensity of light emitted from individual spots.
