PlusCellect™ is a simple and efficient method to enrich specific populations of cells.
PlusCellect is the only cell isolation system on the market that offers two independent antibodies for the isolation and detection of the intended target cells. Importantly, the inclusion of two antibodies facilitates direct assessment of enrichment efficiency following purification.
Target cells are tagged with a biotinylated selection antibody, which is subsequently bound by streptavidin-conjugated magnetic particles (MagCellect™ Streptavidin Ferrofluid, Catalog # MAG999 or equivalent). The desired cell population can then be specifically isolated by applying any compatible magnet system. Positive enrichment is achieved by simply aspirating media containing non-captured cell types. In addition, or as an alternate strategy, target cell populations can be further purified by specific depletion of an undesired cell type using a complementary PlusCellect kit. For each experiment, enrichment efficiency can be assessed using the fluorochrome-conjugated detection antibody provided (CFS or PE). The purity of target cells enriched using PlusCellect is typically between 70% and 98%.
