What is VisUCyte™ HRP Polymer?

VisUCyte HRP Polymer

VisUCyte HRP Polymer is an anti-IgG secondary antibody conjugated to a polymer backbone that has multiple Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) molecules attached to it. It is a Biotin-free detection reagent that overcomes the problems associated with Avidin-Biotin detection chemistry, such as the extra quenching steps required to inhibit endogenous Biotin and Avidin staining. The VisUCyte HRP Polymer allows for specific staining in cells and tissue in a much faster timeframe than the conventional ABC Method (Avidin-Biotin-HRP complex). Additionally, due to the high sensitivity of the VisUCyte HRP Polymer, primary antibodies may be used at concentrations 2–3 times lower than when used with the ABC Method.

GIT1 detection using the VisUCyte HRP Polymer

GIT1 Detection in Human Brain Using the VisUCyte HRP Polymer. GIT1 was detected in immersion-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections of human brain (cerebral cortex) using a Rabbit Anti-Human GIT1 Antigen Affinity-Purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog #AF8508), followed by a Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG VisUCyte HRP Polymer Secondary Antibody (Catalog #VC003). The Tissue was stained with DAB (brown) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue).
