SMDF - Disabled

SMDF is a neuregulin isoform containing a C-terminal EGF-like domain (b-variant) and a unique N-terminal sequence that lacks an Immunoglobulin-like domain which is present in all other known neuregulins. The neuregulin (also known as heregulin) family of cytokines is comprised of multiple secreted or membrane-bound isoforms that are produced from the single neuregulin gene by alternative splicing and/or usage of different promoters. SMDF expression is restricted to the nervous system. See other neuregulins for additional SMDF isoform products.
