DYRK2: ProductsDYRK2 (Dual-specificity tyrosine [Y] phosphorylation regulated kinase 2) is a member of the MNB/DYRK subfamily, CMGC Ser/Thr protein kinase family of enzymes. DYRK2 is expressed in multiple tissues and shows dual substrate specificity. Autophosphorylation on Tyr382 leads to self-activation, while target proteins are Ser/Thr phosphorylated. Targets include NFATc, glycogen synthase, and p53. p53 phosphorylation on Ser46 by DYRK2 leads to cell apoptosis in response to DNA damage. Human DYRK2 is 601 amino acids (aa) in length, and contains one kinase catalytic domain (aa 222-535).
