Antibody Arrays
Providing broad, cost-effective early-stage screening, antibody arrays offer a quick and inexpensive analysis of many analytes simultaneously—in less time than it takes to perform a Western blot.
Similar to an ELISA but with expanded multiplexing capabilities, these semi-quantitative antibody arrays can analyze more than one hundred different proteins simultaneously with substantially less time and effort. Rather than a plate, antibody arrays use a membrane as a substrate. Capture antibodies are pre-spotted in duplicate with high-quality capture antibodies for multiplexing.
Luminex Multiplex Assays
R&D Systems Luminex multiplex assays are designed to maximize multiplexing capacity and flexibility while maintaining assay specificity. The bead-based Luminex format allows you to better tailor assay selection to your individual research needs while overcoming many common multiplexing challenges. Luminex multiplex assays allow you to quantify up to 50 biomarkers with less sample volume than a traditional plate-based ELISA.
Multiplex Simple Plex Assays
With multi-analyte cartridge-based Simple Plex assays, you get the same specificity of a single-analyte ELISA but with greater sensitivity and a broader dynamic range. The automated immunoassay cartridges deliver results in less than 90 minutes with better sensitivity and reproducibility than plate-based assays. Simple Plex Multiplex assays allow you to quantify 5, 6, 7, or 8 analytes in duplicate.

Simple Plex Assays on the Ella platform automate immunoassay analysis, delivering highly sensitive, reproducible biomarker quantification in less than 90 minutes with virtually no hands-on time. Performed entirely within a microfluidic cartridge, these assays eliminate manual assay steps and standard curve preparation while providing the specificity of a singleplex ELISA, femtogram-level sensitivity, up to five logs of dynamic range, and simultaneous measurement of up to eight analytes from low sample volumes. Factory-calibrated standard curves and rigorous assay validation ensure exceptional precision and reproducibility across users, instruments, sites, and lots.
Each Simple Plex assay is performed within a self-contained microfluidic cartridge preloaded with all required assay reagents and factory-calibrated standard curves. Samples are automatically distributed through isolated microfluidic channels containing multiple glass nanoreactors coated with capture antibodies, enabling built-in replicate measurements for every analyte while eliminating the risk of antibody cross-reactivity.
