Product Description

SGC UBD253 is a potent and selective histone deacetylase 6 (HDAC6-UBD) antagonist (KD = 80 nM, 84 nM and 95 nM determined by ITC, SPR and FP, respectively, for the UBD domain; KD = 0.26 μM and 0.44 μM determined by SPR and FP, respectively, for full length HDAC6). Displays 50-fold selectivity for HDAC6 over other UBD proteins, with the exception of USP16 (15-fold). In live cells, it significantly decreases the interaction between HDAC6 and ISG15 (EC50 = 1.9 μM in a NanoBRET assay). Treatment with SGC UBD253 does not inhibit the catalyitic activity of HDAC6.
