Description

This conjugate is made on demand and is not held in inventory. Each order represents a unique lot. All conjugates are generated using validated conjugation protocols and meet strict degree of labeling (F/P) specifications; additional information is available upon request. The antibody concentration is provided on the individual product label.

For specialized conjugation needs, like large quantities, specific concentrations, and defined F/P ratios, bulk and custom antibody conjugation services are available.

TGF-beta RII Antibody [CoraFluor™ 1]

Product Feature: CoraFluor Probes for TR-FRET

CoraFluor™ 1, amine reactive (Catalog:7920) and CoraFluor™ 2, amine reactive (Catalog # 7950) are terbium-based probes that have been developed for use as TR-FRET donors. They emit wavelengths compatible with commonly used fluorescent acceptor dyes such as BODIPY® (or BDY) and Janelia Fluor® dyes, FITC (Catalog # 5440), TMR and Cyanine 5 (Catalog # 5436). CoraFluor™ fluorescence is brighter and more stable in biological media than existing TR-FRET donors, leading to enhanced sensitivity and improved data generation. CoraFluor™ 1 exhibits excitation upon exposure to a 337 nm UV laser.

Background: TGF-beta RII

TGF beta Receptor II is a total of three members of the TGFbeta family, TGFbeta1, TGFbeta2 and TGFbeta3, have been identified in mammals. Each is synthesized as a latent precursor that is subsequently cleaved forming the 112 amino acid growth factor which becomes active upon dimerization. TGFbetas mediate their activity by high affinity binding to the type II receptor (TGFbeta RII) transmembrane protein with a cytoplasmic serine-threonine kinase domain. For signaling growth inhibition and early gene responses the type II receptor requires both its kinase activity and association with a TGFbeta-binding protein, designated the type I receptor. Two independent groups have recently described the cloning and sequence analysis of genes encoding TGFbeta type I receptor proteins designated ALK-5 (TbetaR-1) and TSR-1, respectively.

FAQs for TGF-beta RII Antibody [CoraFluor™ 1]

Showing  1 - 1 of 1 FAQ Showing All
  • Q:

Can Recombinant Human TGF-β RII (Catalog # 241-R2) be used as a capture reagent in an ELISA-like assay?

    A:

Yes, it can, but Recombinant Human TGF-β RII Fc Chimera (Catalog # 341-BR) binds to the plate better and has a higher affinity for the ligand. Therefore, Catalog # 341-BR is recommended to use as a capture reagent in ELISA applications.
