If you do not agree to these terms, do not click the “SUBMIT” box, and do not participate in this offer.

Eligibility

Only researchers currently performing basic, translational, or preclinical research projects using stem cells and/or organoids within a legally registered research institution, biotech or pharmaceutical organization based in United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Luxembourg, Poland, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, South Korea, or China are eligible to apply.

*Medical physicians subject to the Physicians Payments Sunshine Act, current or former Bio-Techne employees, and their immediate relatives are not eligible to apply. We reserve the right to reject grant applications for any additional reasons. No purchase is necessary for entry.

Grant Applications

All applicants must be able to accept free-of-charge reagents on behalf of their institution. All applications must be submitted via the online application form before November 21, 2025. Applicants must complete the full application form in English. A maximum of 2 applications may be submitted from the same individual. Exceeding this limit will void all submitted applications and you will no longer be eligible to receive a grant.

Judging

All applications will be anonymized and judged in a randomized order. Three grant winners will be determined by our team of Bio-Techne experts based on the judging criteria:

  • Innovation – does the proposed research incorporate current methods/protocols to push the boundaries of stem cell-based research
  • Impact – what impact will the proposed research have on our greater understanding of stem cells, developmental biology, disease modeling, tissue engineering, cell therapy or regenerative medicine?
  • Workflow Application – to what extent will the proposed research utilize multiple Bio-Techne products (proteins, small molecules, cell culture products, antibodies and ELISA kits) in the workflow
  • AI tools may be used to prescreen grant applications based on the same criteria listed above.

Grant Recipients

Grant recipients will be contacted by email and/or phone on or before the December 20, 2025. Winners will be announced publicly on or before Jan 12, 2026. If Bio-Techne must delay the winner announcement for any reason, all grant applicants will be contacted by email with updated timelines before Jan 12. Grant awards will be provided in the form of credits.

Grant winners must formally accept the reagent credit within 14 days, or Bio-Techne reserves the right to revoke the offer. Credits may be used to order up to $10,000 (or local currency equivalent, based on country retail price) of select research reagents (proteins, small molecules, cell culture reagents, antibodies, or ELISA kits) from Bio-Techne or affiliated brands (R&D Systems, Tocris or Novus Bio). Offer excludes GMP reagents, custom and special orders, bulk quantities, Cultrex Synthetic Hydrogel, six packs, and pharm packs, control sets, IVD kits, Luminex reagents, and instruments. Reagent grant credits must be used within 6 months post receipt, placed as a single order, and will be shipped when available.

Any research findings or data generated using grant awards will be solely owned by grant winners. Grant recipients agree to be available for reasonable promotional activities at Bio-Techne’s request for a period of nine months following notification of prize award. Promotional activities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing a photo and quote for grant winners announcements
  • Assisting Bio-Techne in preparation of a case study based on the project
  • Participating in Bio-Techne webinars or testimonials
  • Being featured as a researcher in a Bio-Techne Spotlight/Website/Newsletter story
  • Participating in virtual or in-person seminars
