Biological Activity

L-165,041 is a potent PPARδ agonist (Ki = 6 nM); displays > 100-fold selectivity for both mouse and human PPARδ receptors over other subtypes. Raises plasma cholesterol levels in vivo, in insulin-resistant db/db mice. Neuroprotective in models of cerebral infarction and Parkinson's disease.
