Detection of TSPAN33 in Human PBMCs by Flow Cytometry. Human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) either (A) untreated or (B) treated overnight with Recombinant Human IL-4 (Catalog # 204-IL) and Recombinant Human CD40 Ligand/TNFSF5 (Catalog # 6245-CL) were stained with Mouse Anti-Human TSPAN33 APC-conjugated Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # FAB8405A) and Mouse Anti-Human CD19 PE-conjugated Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # FAB4867P). Background: TSPAN33

TSPAN33 is a member of the tetraspanin family and is predominantly expressed in erythroblasts. It plays an important role in normal erythropoiesis and in the differentiation of erythroid progenitors. TSPAN33 is expressed in several lymphomas including Hodgkin’s and Diffuse large B cell lymphoma. TSPAN33 is also expressed in some autoimmune diseases where B cells participate in the pathology.
