Biological Activity

SUN 11602 is a basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) mimetic. Mimics the neuroprotective effects of bFGF; prevents glutamate-induced neuronal death. Increases levels of CALB1 gene expression in cerebrocortical neurons. Triggers phosphorylation of FGFR, ERK1 and ERK2.
