TopBP1 (DNA topoisomerase 2 binding protein 1) is a 170 kDa (predicted) protein required for DNA replication and damage response. TopBP1 is upregulated during cell cycle progression from G1 to S phase and is required for progression. It is found at the centrosomes (spindle poles) during mitosis.
