Product Description

Cinnabarinic acid is a mGlu₄ receptor agonist. Activates mGlu₄ receptors in transiently transfected HEK293 cells; selective over all other mGlu subtypes (mGlu₁, mGlu₂ and mGlu_5-8). Decreases cAMP levels in native cultured cerebellar granule cells. Also counteracts excitotoxic neuronal cell death induced by NMDA in mixed cultures of cortical cells; displays neuroprotective activity.
