Mature human and mouse IL-20 is a 152 amino acid protein that is not likely glycosylated. Although IL-20 is a distant member of the IL-10 family, it functions as a monomer. IL-20 binds two heterodimeric receptor complexes, IL-20 R alpha/IL-20 R beta and IL-22 R/IL-20 R beta. IL-20 is reported to induce the proliferation of multipotential hematopoietic progenitor cells, direct the differentiation and expansion of keratinocytes, and promote the release of proinflammatory mediators in keratinocytes and other IL-20 receptor-expressing cells.

Product Summary for Mouse IL-20 Quantikine ELISA Kit
The Quantikine Mouse IL-20 Immunoassay is a 4.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed to measure mouse IL-20 in cell culture supernates, mouse serum, and plasma. It contains E. coli-expressed recombinant mouse IL-20 and antibodies raised against the recombinant factor. This immunoassay has been shown to accurately quantitate the recombinant factor. Results obtained using natural mouse IL-20 showed linear curves that were parallel to the standard curves obtained using the Quantikine kit standards. These results indicate that this kit can be used to determine relative mass values for naturally occurring mouse IL-20.
