Immunoprecipitation:DCPS AntibodyNBP3-29312] -Detection of human DCPS by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-DCPS antibody NBP3-29312 (lot NBP3-29312-1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. DCPS was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-DCPS.. For blotting immunoprecipitated DCPS, NBP3-29312 was used at 1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.

Background: DCPS

Necessary for the complete degradation of mRNAs, both in normal mRNA turnover and in nonsense-mediated mRNA decay. Removes the 7-methyl guanine cap structure from mRNA fragments shorter than 10 nucleotides that are produced by 3'->5' exosome-mediated mRNA decay. Releases m7GMP. Can also degrade m7GDP to m7GMP. Has no activity towards mRNA molecules longer than 25 nucleotides
