Immunoprecipitation:[NBP3-18397]-Detection of human ICT1 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate from HeLa cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-ICT1 antibody used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. For blotting immunoprecipitated ICT1, was used at 0. 4 mg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Background: ICT

The adult colon epithelium contains 3 differentiated cell types that arise from a multipotent stem cell. Deviation from the normal maturation pathway by neoplastic transformation is thought to initiate in stem cells or their early descendants. One potential marker is ICT1 whose mRNA and protein were more highly expressed in undifferentiated than in differentiated cells.
