CRY1 Products
CRY1 is one of a family of receptors for blue and ultraviolet light which share sequence similarity to DNA photolyases (light-utilizing repair enzymes). However, cryptochromes have no photolyase activity. CRY1 is a critical component of the circadian oscillator that represses CLOCK: BMAL1 mediated transcription when translocated into the nucleus.
