DDT Proteins and Enzymes

D-dopachrome decarboxylase, also known as D-dopachrome tautomerase (DDT), phenylpyruvate tautomerase II and DDCT, is a member of the migration inhibitory factor (MIF) family. DDT, via tautomerization and decarboxylation, converts D-dopachrome into 5,6-dihydroxyindole (DHI). DDT may also play a role in melanin biosynthesis.
