Immunoprecipitation:[NBP3-29978]-

Immunoprecipitation:[NBP3-29978]-Detection of human DCPS by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate from 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-DCPS antibody used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. DCPS was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-DCPS antibody. For blotting immunoprecipitated DCPS, was used at 1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Background: DCPS

Necessary for the complete degradation of mRNAs, both in normal mRNA turnover and in nonsense-mediated mRNA decay. Removes the 7-methyl guanine cap structure from mRNA fragments shorter than 10 nucleotides that are produced by 3'->5' exosome-mediated mRNA decay. Releases m7GMP. Can also degrade m7GDP to m7GMP. Has no activity towards mRNA molecules longer than 25 nucleotides
