Immunoprecipitation:DNA Polymerase delta, catalytic subunit AntibodyNBP3-30106] -Detection of human PolD1 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from Jurkat cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-PolD1 antibody NBP3-30106 (lot NBP3-30106-2) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. PolD1 was also immunoprecipitated by a previous lot of this antibody (lot NBP3-30106-1). For blotting immunoprecipitated PolD1, NBP3-30106 was used at 1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 seconds.

Background: DNA Polymerase delta, catalytic subunit

DNA polymerase d (delta) functions in DNA replication and DNA repair. It also possesses 3' to 5' exonuclease activity. In leading strand synthesis it requires the processivity factor, PCNA. It is also possibly involved in the completion of DNA synthesis during Okazaki fragment elongation following the initiation of synthesis by the DNA polymerase a/primase complex
