Immunoprecipitation:DUS2L AntibodyNBP3-30263] -Detection of human DUS2 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-DUS2 antibody NBP3-30263 (lot NBP3-30263-1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. DUS2 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-DUS2 antibody for blotting immunoprecipitated DUS2, NBP3-30263 was used at 0.4 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.

Dihydrouridine synthase catalyzes reduction of the 5,6-double bond of a uridine residue on the displacement loop oftRNA. The resultant modified base, 5,6-dihydrouridine, appears to increase the conformational flexibility and dynamicmotion of tRNA (Kato et al., 2005 (PubMed 15994936)).(supplied by OMIM)
