Immunoprecipitation:[NBP3-29682]-

Immunoprecipitation:[NBP3-29682]-Detection of human GAS41 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate from 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-GAS41 antibody used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. GAS41 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-GAS41 antibody. For blotting immunoprecipitated GAS41, was used at 1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Background: GAS41

GAS41 is encoded by this gene is found in the nucleoli. It has high sequence homology to human MLLT1, and yeast and human MLLT3 proteins. Both MLLT1 and MLLT3 proteins belong to a class of transcription factors, indicating that the encoded protein might also represent a transcription factor. This protein is thought to be required for RNA transcription. This gene has been shown to be amplified in tumors.
