WB: Preliminary experiments gave an approx. 60 kDa band in human adipose, colon, duodenum, heart and liver lysates after 1 ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 304 kDa band according to NP_002215.1. The 60 kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.

Background: IP3R3

IP3R3 (inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate receptor type 3) is an intracellular calcium release channel that mediates calcium release from the endoplasmic reticulum. There are 3 mammalian IP3R receptors: IP3R1, IP3R2, and IP3R3. IP3R3 has been shown to play a role in olfactory mucus secretion and in the taste perception of sweet, savory (umami), and bitter substances.
