Immunoprecipitation:NDUFB6 AntibodyNBP3-29652] -Detection of human NDUFB6 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-NDUFB6 antibody NBP3-29652 (lot NBP3-29652-1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. NDUFB6 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-NDUFB6.. For blotting immunoprecipitated NDUFB6, NBP3-29652 was used at 1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.

Background: NDUFB6

NDUFB6 is encoded by this gene is a subunit of the multisubunit NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase (complex I). Mammalian complex I is composed of 45 different subunits. It locates at the mitochondrial inner membrane. This protein has NADH dehydrogenase activity and oxidoreductase activity. It transfers electrons from NADH to the respiratory chain. The immediate electron acceptor for the enzyme is believed to be ubiquinone. Alternative splicing occurs at this locus and two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
