Immunoprecipitation:BRD3 AntibodyNBP3-29074] -Detection of human BRD3 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-BRD3 antibody NBP3-29074 (lot NBP3-29074-2) used for IP at 3 µg per reaction. BRD3 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-BRD3.. For blotting immunoprecipitated BRD3, NBP3-29074 was used at 1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 minutes.

BRD3 was identified based on its homology to the gene encoding the RING3 protein, a serine/threonine kinase. The gene localizes to 9q34, a region which contains several major histocompatibility complex (MHC) genes. The function of the encoded protein is not known.
