This product is an Antibody-Drug Conjugate (ADC) for Research Use Only (RUO).

Sofituzumab vedotin is an antibody-drug conjugate that targets MUC16, The conjugate consists of a human anti-MUC16 antibody linked to the cytotoxic agent MMAE, which is released after internalization by the cancer cell. Clinical trials have shown promising results in the treatment of ovarian and pancreatic cancer.

This product is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon receipt, store immediately at -20C or lower for 12 months in a lyophilized state. - 80C for 3 months after reconstitution. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Background: CA125/MUC16

MUC16 (CA125) is a serum marker that is used routinely in gynecologic practice to monitor patients with ovarian cancer. It is a mullerian duct differentiation antigen that is over expressed in epithelial ovarian cancer cells and secreted into the blood, although its expression is not entirely confined to ovarian cancer. Most biochemical studies have concluded that MUC16 is a high molecular mass glycoprotein, although estimates of its size range from 200 to 2000 kDa with smaller "subunits" being described by some investigators.
