Background: Frizzled-1

FZD1 is a widely expressed Frizzled Receptor that mediates Wnt signaling. FZD1 expression has been reported in heart, kidney, lung, ovary, pancreas, placenta, and prostate. ESTs have been isolated from brain, embryo, eye, heart, heart/melanocyte/uterus, kidney, liver/spleen, lung, prostate, skin, and uterus libraries.
