Product Description

Histamine dihydrochloride is an endogenous agonist at histamine receptors (H1-4). Released from mast cells and basophils and exhibits inflammatory, vasodilatory and bronchoconstrictory activity. Stimulates gastric acid secretion and acts as a neurotransmitter in vivo.

    EA.hy926 cells were loaded with cytosolic Ca2+ sensitive dye, Fura-2AM in normal tyrode solution for 40 min and excited alternately at 340 and 380 nm and fluorescence was captured at 510 nm. ER Ca2+ store was depleted with 100 µM histamine in 0.1 mM EGTA-tyrode solution, resulting in transient cytosolic Ca2+ peak.
