Detects human Complement Component C1rLP in direct ELISAs and Western blots. In direct ELISAs and Western blots, approximately 10% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse C1rLP is observed and less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) C1R, rhC1S, and rhMASP-3 is observed.

Background: Complement Component C1rLP

C1rLP, also known as CLSPa, is a plasma serine protease that is related to the C1r complement component. C1rLP is a 487 amino acid protein that contains one CUB domain and a serine protease domain. C1rLP activates pro-C1s and pro-haptoglobin but also inhibits complement-mediated cytotoxicity. Human and mouse C1rLP share 73% aa sequence identity.
