I kappa B kinase beta (IKK beta ) is also known as IKBKB and IKK2. The classical active IKK complex, composed of IKK alpha, IKK beta, and two forms of processed IKK gamma, phosphorylates and inactivates I kappa B, resulting in the release and nuclear translocation of active NF-kappa B. Like IKK alpha, IKK beta contains kinase, leucine zipper, and helix‑loop‑helix domains. NF-kappa B-inducing kinase (NIK) phosphorylates and activates IKK alpha /IKK beta heterodimers.

Scientific Data Images for Human IKK beta Antibody
Detection of Human IKK beta by Western Blot.
Western blot shows lysates of HeLa human cervical epithelial carcinoma cell line, Raji human Burkitt's lymphoma cell line, and Daudi human Burkitt's lymphoma cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Human IKK beta Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF4535) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Sheep IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF016). A specific band was detected for IKK beta at approximately 87 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.Applications for Human IKK beta Antibody
