Recommended Usage

Western Blot

Recommended dilution range for Western blot analysis is 1:500 to 1:1000.  At a dilution of 1:1000, 100 ng of monomeric ISG15 can be detected.

Background: ISG15/UCRP

The ubiquitin-like ISG15 acts similar to ubiquitin and is conjugated to intracellular target proteins after IFN-alpha / beta stimulation or microbial challenge. The functions or biochemical consequences ISG15 conjugation to proteins are not yet known, but it appears that this modification does not target proteins for proteasomal degradation.
