Detection of Human/Mouse MSK2 antibody by Western Blot.

Detection of Human/Mouse MSK2 by Western Blot.

Western blot shows lysates of HepG2 human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line, DU145 human prostate carcinoma cell line, and TS1 mouse helper T cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL Rat Anti-Human/Mouse MSK2 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB2310) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Rat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF005). For additional reference, recombinant human MSK1 and MSK2 (2 ng/lane) were included. A specific band for MSK2 was detected at approximately 90 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 3.

Lyophilized product is shipped at ambient temperature. Liquid small pack size (-SP) is shipped with polar packs. Upon receipt, store immediately at the temperature recommended below.

Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Background: MSK2

Mitogen- and stress-activated protein kinase 2 (MSK2), also known as ribosomal protein S6 kinase B (RSKB) and RPS6KA4, belongs to the family of AGC kinases. Both MSK2 and the related MSK1 have two kinase domains connected by a regulatory linker region and are activated by the mitogen-activated protein kinases ERK1, ERK2, and p38. Nuclear MSK phosphorylates and activates a number of transcription factors, including ATF1 and CREB.
