As downstream targets of the Rho GTPases, the p21-activated kinase (PAK) family of serine/threonine kinases regulates the organization of the actin cytoskeleton in mammalian cells. The PAK family is structurally categorized in two groups, each with three members: group I PAK1-3; and group II PAK4-6. PAK6 is expressed most highly in brain and testes, with lower levels in multiple tissues. Both MKK6 and p38 MAPK activate PAK6, suggesting a role for this kinase in the cellular stress response.

Scientific Data Images for PAK6 Antibody
Detection of Human/Mouse/Rat PAK6 by Western Blot.
Western blot shows lysates of HT-29 human colon adenocarcinoma cell line, A431 human epithelial carcinoma cell line, KG-1 human acute myelogenous leukemia cell line, and CH-1 mouse B cell lymphoma cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 2 µg/mL of Human/Mouse/Rat PAK6 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF4265) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF109). A specific band was detected for PAK6 at approximately 75 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted using Immunoblot Buffer Group 3.Applications for PAK6 Antibody
