Background: Mimecan

OIF is involved in inducing bone formation with TGGB1 and TGFB2 as well as being an important regulator of left ventricular mass. OIF is thought to have a role in cellular growth regulation. OIF is known to have interactions with CRK, ABL1, SRC, IRF1 and USF1. Studies of OIF have been conducted in relation to cholera, conjunctivitis, interferon, adenoma, pituitary tumor and paratyphoid fever.
