Scientific Data Images for Mouse Bcl‑2 related protein A1 Antibody

Detection of Mouse Bcl‑2 related protein A1 antibody by Western Blot.

Detection of Mouse Bcl‑2 related protein A1 by Western Blot.

Western blot shows samples of Recombinant Human Bcl-2 related protein A1 Minus C-terminus, aa 1-152 (Catalog # 1160-A1) (0.3 ng and 1 ng). PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL Rat Anti-Mouse Bcl-2 related protein A1 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB851) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Rat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF005). A specific band for Bcl-2 related protein A1 was detected at approximately 14 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 4.

Background: Bcl-2 related protein A1

Bcl-2 related protein A1 (abbreviated Bcl2a1 or A1) is an anti-apoptotic outer mitochondrial membrane protein that prevents release of cytochrome c from the mitochondria intermembrane space into the cytosol. A1 prevents apoptosis by binding to the BH3 region of pro-apoptotic Bcl-2 family members.
