Immunoprecipitation:[NBP3-30431]-

Immunoprecipitation:[NBP3-30431]-Detection of human NUP43 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate from HeLa cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-NUP43 antibody used for IP at 6 µg/mg lysate. NUP43 was inefficiently immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-NUP43 antibody. For blotting immunoprecipitated NUP43, was used at 1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Background: NUP43

Bidirectional transport of macromolecules between the cytoplasm and nucleus occurs through nuclear pore complexes (NPCs) embedded in the nuclear envelope. NPCs are composed of subcomplexes, and NUP43 is part of one such subcomplex, Nup107-160 (Loiodice et al., 2004 [PubMed 15146057]).[supplied by OMIM]
