RO 8191
Tocris Bioscience | Catalog # 7375
Product Description
RO 8191 is an IFNα receptor 2 (IFNAR2) agonist (EC50 = 0.2 μM). RO 8191 induces phosphorylation and activation of STAT1 and STAT2. RO 8191 inhibits hepatitis C (HCV) cell culture-produced infectious particles and HCV subgenomic replicon (IC50 values 0.20 μM and 0.17 μM, respectively) and inhibits hepatitis B virus replication in cell cultures (IC50 = 0.1 μM). In an animal model RO 8191 inhibits prion invasion and prolongs survival; it also reverses the inhibitory effect of integrin β6 (ITGB6) on the JAK/STAT3 signaling and the epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition pathway and inhibits the proliferation, invasion, and migration of cervical cancer cells. Orally bioavailable.
