Western Blot: SCD-1 Antibody (A9A11-R) [NBP3-32932]

Western blot analysis on different lysates with NBP3-32932 at 1/1,000 dilution. Lane 1: Mouse liver tissue lysate Lane 2: Rat liver tissue lysate Lysates/proteins at 30 µg/Lane. Predicted band size: 42 kDa Observed band size: 37 kDa Exposure time: 1 minute 2 seconds; 4-20% SDS-PAGE gel. Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% NFDM/TBST for 1 hour at room temperature. NBP3-32932 at 1/1,000 dilution was used in 5% NFDM/TBST at room temperature for 2 hours. Goat anti-Mouse IgG [HRP] at 1:50,000 dilution was used for 1 hour at room temperature.

Background: SCD-1

SCD-1 encodes an enzyme involved in fatty acid biosynthesis, primarily the synthesis of oleic acid. The protein belongs to the fatty acid desaturase family and is an integral membrane protein located in the endoplasmic reticulum. Transcripts of approximately 3.9 and 5.2 kb, differing only by alternative polyadenlyation signals, have been detected. A gene encoding a similar enzyme is located on chromosome 4 and a pseudogene of this gene is located on chromosome 17. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2015]
