Description

Next generation cell-permeable fluorescent amyloid stain. Used for: in vitro Aβ staining in brain tissues.

Wavelength

Excitation = 421 nm, Emission = 490 nm

Product Description

Key information: Thioflavin X (ThX) is a next-generation cell-permeable fluorescent probe for the detection of amyloid aggregates. Displays 5-fold increase in brightness and 7-fold increase in binding affinity (Ki = 680 nM) compared to Thioflavin T

Used for: staining of Aβ oligomers, P301S Tau and α-Syn aggregates in brain tissues

Application: fluorescence microscopy and super resolution microscopy

Properties and Photophysical Data: Thioflavin X increases in fluorescence upon binding to α-Syn aggregates. Excitation and emission maxima (λ) in the presence of α-Syn aggregates are 421 nm and 490 nm, respectively; quantum yield = 0.81; extinction coefficient = 38,114 M-1cm-1
