ASTE1, also known as Protein asteroid homolog 1, is a 679 amino acid protein that is 77 kDa, belongs to the asteroid family, and has a possible role in EGF receptor signaling. The protein is being studied for its involvement in colorectal cancer. ASTE1 has been linked to ERBB3 in DNA repair pathway.
