CKS1B (Cyclin-dependent kinases regulatory subunit 1) is a 79 amino acid protein that binds to the catalytic subunit of the cyclin dependent kinases and is essential for their biological function. Depleting CKS1B in breast cancer cells has been shown to slow cell cycle progression and regulation of CKS1B may provide a potential cancer treatment option.
